In June 2023,the original four members of FIFTY FIFTY filed to suspend their exclusive contracts with Attrakt, which was later denied by aSeoul court. While all members initially appealed the decision, member Keena later withdrew her appeal and returned to the agency. After a months-long legal battle, the agency terminated its contracts with members Saena, Sio and Aran. Attrakt later announcedthat FIFTY FIFTY would be re-organised with a new line-up centered around Keena, and later held overseas auditions in Singaporeand Japan.‘Love Tune’ scored a middling three-star review from NME, with Gladys Yeo writing: “As a whole, ‘Love Tune’ is a thematicallyconsistent and decently performed pop record with few major faults. However, it hardly distinguishes itself from the wave ofpleasant, easy-listening K-pop songs that have swept through the industry since the success of ‘Cupid’, with none of the songsfeeling particularly unique to this newly minted quintet. It’s also hard to look past the comparisons to the original line-up ofFIFTY FIFTY, especially when so little was done to transform their sound and image in this rebranding exercise.”The post FIFTY FIFTY announce comeback with new album ‘Too Much Part 1’ appeared first on NME.
