fromis_9 confirmed to release new Christmas carols EP this December

fromis_9 is set to make a comeback this December, as confirmed by their label. The five-member group, now under ASND, is reportedly preparing for a Christmas and holiday season release next month. The label announced in a statement: “fromis_9 will be making a comeback in December. We are preparing carols that are perfect for the winter season, so please show lots of interest and anticipation.” Further details about the project have yet to be revealed. This album will mark fromis_9’s second release since all eight members parted ways with their longtime label Pledis Entertainment and its parent company, HYBE, after their contracts expired in December last year. Their last release was a six-track mini-album titled ‘From Our 20’s’ in June. Before that, they released one last song under Pledis called ‘From’.The group's transition from an eight-member ensemble to a five-member group was first hinted at in March through their new label ASND. A video simply titled ‘fromis_9’ featured monochrome clips of the five members during a photoshoot, accompanied by audio snippets of their voices discussing their hopes for new beginnings.The five remaining members are: Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Na-kyung, Lee Chae-young, and Baek Ji-heon. fromis_9 was formed in 2017 through the reality TV show Idol School and debuted in January 2018 with their first mini-album ‘To.Heart’ under Stone Music Entertainment.
