The change may feel unexpected, but it still fits aespa’s identity. “Lemonade” keeps the group’s confident energy while adding a brighter, sharper flavor to their sound and visuals. The concept blends retro styling with aespa’s signature storytelling, creating a world that feels both nostalgic and futuristic at the same time.

According to the creative direction behind the video, the fashion was inspired by the song’s retro sound and the idea of different parallel worlds. That type of layered concept is something aespa fans know well, as the group has built much of its image around cinematic world-building and strong visual themes.

Beyond the styling, “Lemonade” carries a message of confidence and self-belief. The song focuses on ignoring negativity, staying strong through chaos, and moving forward with your own identity. It follows the same empowered spirit fans have heard in aespa’s previous releases, while presenting it through a fresh new lens.

The release also arrives during a major year for aespa. Karina and Ningning recently made their Met Gala debuts, adding another global fashion milestone to the group’s growing list of achievements. This summer, aespa is also scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago, where fans can expect a special stage prepared just for the festival.

After Lollapalooza, aespa will head back to Seoul to begin their next world tour, SYNK: aeXIS LINE. The group is also expected to return to the United States later in the year for arena shows, giving fans more chances to see their expanded performances, larger-scale production, and new sides of aespa on stage.

With “Lemonade,” aespa proves once again that they are not afraid to evolve. The group’s new video may look different from their earlier eras, but its confidence, style, and bold attitude are still unmistakably aespa.
