BTS
is preparing for a massive return, with the group’s upcoming comeback show at Gwanghwamun Square now expected to welcome approximately 22,000 fans after organizers expanded the venue capacity to meet overwhelming demand.
On Tuesday, BigHit Music announced that additional standing areas will be opened for BTS
’s “Arirang” concert, scheduled for March 21. The new tickets will become available Thursday through NOL Ticket. While the agency did not confirm the exact number of additional spots, the total audience capacity has increased from 15,000 to around 22,000.
According to BigHit Music, the newly added standing sections will extend from the Gwanghwamun intersection toward City Hall Station. Fans in those areas will still be able to enjoy the concert through large LED screens that will be installed throughout the expanded venue zone.
The agency said the decision to increase capacity was made with safety and crowd control as top priorities. Organizers also emphasized that they will closely monitor illegal ticket resales in real time and strengthen identity verification procedures in an effort to prevent scalping and unauthorized entry.
The concert comes just one day after the release of BTS
’s fifth studio album, Arirang, which is set to drop on March 20. The timing has only added to fan excitement, as the group’s long-awaited comeback continues to generate major attention both in South Korea and internationally.
For global fans who are unable to attend in person, the March 21 performance will also be streamed live worldwide through Netflix, allowing ARMY around the world to join the celebration.
