Upcoming film “The Intern” has unveiled new stills featuring Kim Jun Han and Ryu Hye Young!
As a remake of the Hollywood film of the same name, “The Intern” is a story depicting an office life that transcends generations and job titles, beginning when Gi Ho (Choi Min Sik), a senior intern with 37 years of work experience, joins the company of Sun Woo (Han So Hee), who has rapidly emerged as a dark horse in the fashion industry just three years after its launch.
Kim Jun Han plays Young Hwan, the practical-minded vice president of Wootutu. Young Hwan is Sun Woo’s longtime colleague and right-hand man who helped grow the company into a business with annual sales in the tens of billions of won.
In one still, he looks relaxed with a bright smile, while in another still, he presents Sun Woo with realistic opinions with a serious facial expression during a meeting.
Kim Jun Han portrays Young Hwan’s contrasting sides, from his approachable senior colleague persona to his image as a vice president who makes cool-headed judgments on important company decisions.
Director Kim Do Young praised him, saying, “Along with an exceptional sense of balance, he brought a clear sense of stability to the screen simply through his presence.”
Ryu Hye Young plays Min Ah, the team leader of Wootutu’s management support team. She is Sun Woo’s reliable left-hand woman and a hands-on employee responsible for the company’s major and minor tasks.
In the stills below, Ryu Hye Young showcases various sides of her character, from being immersed in her work at her desk to looking flustered by unexpected incidents.
In particular, the setting of an “AI-obsessed management support team leader” combines with Ryu Hye Young’s signature realistic acting to create a unique office worker character.
Co-star Choi Min Sik highly praised Ryu Hye Young’s performance, saying, “She was truly like a fish in water. She acted so well that I was amazed.”
“The Intern” is set to hit theaters on September 16. Stay tuned!
