SAMUELiTO: Kim Samuel unveils mini-album inspired by his cultural roots

Kim Samuel released his mini-album "SAMUELiTO" on June 8, 2026, marking a new chapter in his artistic journey. The project features four tracks and incorporates elements of the singer's multicultural background, reflecting his Mexican and Korean heritage.

Known internationally since his appearance on "Produce 101 Season 2" in 2017, Samuel made his solo debut that same year with the mini-album "Sixteen." Following a period away from the spotlight due to contractual disputes, he returned to music with the self-produced project "NOW" in 2024 and the single "ROCKSTAR" in 2025.

According to the artist, "SAMUELiTO" represents a reconnection with his roots. The title references a childhood nickname and serves as the starting point for a project that explores more personal aspects of his identity. Samuel has described the album as the beginning of a new phase in his career.

Musically, the release combines reggaeton and Latin rhythms with the performance style commonly associated with K-pop. Samuel was actively involved in both the songwriting process and the creative direction of the project.

The mini-album consists of four tracks: "HOLA!", "ZIGI-ZIGI-ZIGI", "NEVER SAY GOODBYE…" and "DDOOK DDAK". Throughout the project, Samuel performs in Spanish, English, and Korean, reflecting the diverse cultural influences that have shaped both his personal life and professional career.

"SAMUELiTO" aims to showcase a more personal side of the artist while bringing his cultural identity closer to the sound he has developed throughout his career.
