TXT’s Soobin Harassed During Fansign by Inappropriate Audio: Fans Demand Action

Soobin, a member of K-pop boy group TXT, recently became the target of a disturbing incident during a video call fansign event. While promoting their new album The Star Chapter: Together, Soobin participated in a global video fan meeting—but the atmosphere took a dark turn when one fan played a fake pornographic audio clip allegedly involving fellow member Yeonjun.

The fan then posted the clip online with the caption, “POV: When I ask Soobin directly about the mysterious audio during the fansign.” The situation escalated further when the fan brazenly asked Soobin which type of relationship with Yeonjun he preferred, leaving the idol visibly stunned and speechless for nearly 20 seconds.

A screenshot capturing Soobin’s shocked and uncomfortable reaction went viral across social media platforms, especially X (formerly Twitter), sparking massive backlash from fans.

Many MOAs (TXT’s fandom) expressed outrage, calling it more than a prank—labeling it as outright harassment and a violation of Soobin’s dignity. Some of the most shared reactions included:

• “What were those shippers thinking? Playing that clip and asking sexual questions during a fansign? This is disgusting.”
• “This is not a joke. It’s harassment. BIGHIT must permanently ban the fan involved.”
• “MOAs, keep emailing BIGHIT. That person shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near TXT again.”

The incident has reignited discussions about toxic “shipping culture” within K-pop fandoms. While pairing idols together can be a lighthearted activity for fans, taking it to the point of forcing idols to confront sexually explicit content involving themselves crosses ethical lines and causes emotional harm.

Though the controversial video has since been deleted, fans continue to demand firm action from BIGHIT MUSIC, urging the company to permanently blacklist the offender from future TXT activities.
