Gong Hyo-jin Supports Jung Jun-won Amid Variety Show Criticism

Actress Gong Hyo-jin has come out in defense of her co-star Jung Jun-won over the controversy regarding his recent appearance on a variety show. The actress posted a photo of Jun-won with the caption, "This husband of mine actually vomited after the recording." She apologised to him, adding, "I'm sorry I couldn’t save you." This show of support comes after the criticism received by the actor for his performance in the variety show Hangout with Yoo by MBC.

The Controversy Both actors had earlier appeared on the show to promote their latest drama, "A Bona Fide Killer." During the show, Jung Jun-won looked visibly uncomfortable and nervous, giving short answers to the questions being asked. Viewers were quick to criticise his attitude, especially when he failed to complete an acting challenge prepared by the crew. He was seen saying, "I'm so overwhelmed. It feels like my mind is going blank." Netizens are claiming that he should have been more prepared before appearing on a variety show.

Apart from Gong Hyo-jin, comedian Haha, who was present at the recording, also defended the actor. "I was there. He was so lovable, cute, and genuinely funny. He’s not a professional variety entertainer, so I hope people will view him kindly."
