Although all five members are Chinese, the group debuted in South Korea as a fifth-generation K-pop group. AM8IC officially debuted on November 10, 2025 with their first EP LUKOIE. All five members of AM8IC are Chinese, but they all trained under the K-Pop trainee system and officially debuted as a fifth-generation K-Pop boy group.

On October 29, they returned with their 1st single album, RASCALS (Find The Pearl), with the title track of the same name. The album is a pre-release album for their second EP, The Blind, which is set to be released in February 2027. 

“RASCALS (Find The Pearl)” tells the story of five boys, the rascals, who are searching for the pearl, despite not knowing what it means yet. In a life of uncertainty with unique and difficult paths, the pearl represents the “One true thing worth giving everything for” and marks the start of this journey rather than the end.

To commemorate the release of their 1st single album, ‘RASCALS (Find The Pearl) on October 29, five-member boy group AM8IC spoke with KPopAngel to talk about the new release, their upcoming 1-year anniversary, and their future goals as a group.

1. Your first single album “RASCALS (Find The Pearl) is coming out very soon and is a pre-release to your second EP “The Blind” that is coming out in February of next year, are there any hidden meanings or messages that connect both albums to one another? 

Yes! The two albums are connected through one continuous story about searching for the Pearl. 

In RASCALS, the five of us set out on a journey to find the Pearl, but we don’t fully understand what it truly means yet. As we continue our journey, we gradually begin to realize that not everything that appears valuable is necessarily precious. 

Then, in our upcoming EP The Blind, the story goes even deeper. It raises questions such as: What if the truth we’ve been searching for has been in front of us all along? What if it wasn’t that we couldn’t see it, but that we were choosing to close our eyes and turn away from it?

Through this journey, we want to explore the things we can and cannot see, as well as the truth we believe in and the truth we choose to ignore. 

Simply put, if RASCALS is about setting out to search for something. The Blind is about facing why we couldn’t see it, or perhaps why we chose not to see it in the first place!

We’re really excited to share the next chapter of this story with everyone, and we hope you’ll be able to discover more about AM8IC’s universe through The Blind!

But before that, we hope everyone enjoys RASCALS, our new music, and this playful energetic side of us that you may not have seen before. There’s still so much more of our story that we want to share with you, so please looking forward to both albums!

2. What are you guys looking forward to the most with the release of “RASACALS (Find The Pearl) ?

MINGKAI: I hope we’ll have more chances to perform on different stages and share our music with more people. And of course, I hope more people will come to love AM8IC and our music!

ROUX: What I’m looking forward to the most is performing our new song on stage. I’m especially excited to see if lots of people will sing along with us. I think hearing everyone sing our song together would be such a special moment!

CHUNGYI: What I'm looking forward to the most is seeing everyone’s reactions after listening to this release. Everyone can interpret the song differently, so I’m also curious to find our which parts QU8IC will like the most. 

If the song can become part of everyone’s lives and stay with then after our performance ends, that would make me really happy.

CHEN: What I’m most looking forward to is showing our fans a new side of AM8IC. I hope everyone enjoys our new music and can feel our energy through this release. I’m also excited to create more wonderful memories with QU8IC!

SAHO: I’m most looking forward to our music show performances this time because “RASCALS” has so many fun and interesting choreography parts. I’m really excited to see how everything turns out on camera once the performances are filmed!

3. For those discovering AM8IC for the first time, what is one thing you hope they take away from your music?

MINGKAI: I hope people can feel our energy through our music and connect with the stories we want to share. And if our music can give them some strength, inspiration, courage, or even help them explore their own lives and find their own path with us, that would mean so much to us.

ROUX: I hope people can feel our passion through our music and realize that each one of us has their own unique color and personality. I hope people can see that AM8IC is a group of five different people who come stronger together. We each have our own personalities and strengths, but when we’re together, we create something special. Both our first EP, LUKOIE and now our single album, RASCALS share the message that we’re stronger together. 

SAHO: We hope that when people hear our music or watch our performances, they’ll be inspired by our passion and energy. And as they get to know our music better, we hope they’ll become interested in our stories and find some inspiration or emotional connection through our songs. 

CHUNGYI: I hope people can experience something different through our music and stories. Even though everyone has different lives and experiences, I hope they can find something they relate to in our work. If our music can give people a little strength or inspire them to explore more of the unknown, that would be really meaningful to us.

CHEN: I hope that when people listen to our music, they can forget about their worries for a little while and enjoy the happiness that music brings. I don’t think music always has to convey a complicated message. Sometimes, if a song can simply put you in a better mood or make you feel like you can keep trying your best for another day, I think that alone makes it meaningful. 

4. Your one year anniversary as a group is also coming up very soon! What does reaching this milestone mean to you guys? 

MINGKAI: To me, our first anniversary isn’t just about how much we’ve grown as artists over the past year. It’s also a reminder of the journey we’ve shared with QU8IC, working hard and moving forward together. Everything we’ve experienced this past year has helped us become more mature and given us so many precious memories. 

ROUX: I think this milestone means that we’re opening a new chapter in our story. Compared to when we first debuted, we’re now thinking more about what kind of artists we want to become, what kind of sides we want to show QU8IC in the future, and what we want our careers to look like moving forward.

CHUNGYI: It really feels like time has flown by so quickly! We’ve experienced a lot this past year and learned so much along the way. To me, our first anniversary is not only a special day worth celebrating, but also a new starting point for us to continue growing.

CHEN: For me, our first anniversary is a really special milestone. Looking back, we’ve experienced so many firsts this past year and overcome many difficulties together. From feeling nervous and unfamiliar with everything when we first debuted to now bein able to stand on the stage with more confidence. I think both the members and I have grown a lot.

SAHO: I think it means that we’ve become more mature after everything we’ve experienced this past year. We’ve also learned to handle different situations with more confidence and ease. And because QU8IC has supported and loved us throughout this journey, we want to even work harder to create more great music and performances to show our appreciation!

5. What are your biggest goals & aspirations as a group?

MINGKAI: Our biggest dream is to hold our own concerts around the world one day, visit different countries and cities, and meet more of the fans who love and support us in person.

Aside from that, we hope our music can do more than just bring people happiness. We also want it to give them strength and courage when they’re feeling tired or lost. If one day our music can become someone’s motivation to keep going, or help someone find happiness again, that would mean a lot to me.

ROUX: I think my biggest dream is to share our music with people around the world. I hope that one day, no matter where you go, you might suddenly hear one of our songs playing somewhere. That would make me really happy!

CHUNGYI: I hope that one day, AM8IC will be able to hold concerts all around the world and share our music and stories with more people. Rather than just receiving attention for a short time, I hope we can become a group that people will remember for a long, long time.

CHEN: I hope more people will get ti know us and listen to our music. I also hope that the five of us can continue moving forward together and perform on bigger and bigger stages! One of my biggest goals to to perform at MAMA and other year-end sward shows, so I really hope we can make that dream come true someday!

SAHO: I hope AM8IC can reach more people through our music and performances! After having our first performance in Europe this time, we’ve become even more eager to perform on stage, and it’s also made us want to meet QU8IC in person more often!

We want to share more of our music and the stories behind our universe with everyone. Ultimately, I hope people all around the world will listen to our music, that we’ll have the opportunity to tour across different continents, and that through out music and performances, AM8IC can become a group that people everywhere know and love!

6. Are there certain genres or concepts you guys would like to try out in the future? 

MINGKAI: I’m really looking forward to seeing how AM8IC’s story develops from here. I’m curious about what kind of events will happen next and how we’ll change and grow throughout our story.

When it comes to music, I’d really love to try a winter song! I think winter music can bring a different kind of warmth to people and also show another side of AM8IC.

I’d also personally love to try R&B. I think there are so many possibilities in music, so I hope we can challenge ourselves with more genres in the future and show everyone even more sides of AM8IC!

ROUX: I’m actually interested in trying Baile Funk and Afro music styles. I love music that makes your body move and groove naturally as soon as you hear it! For the concept, I’d also like to try something that shows a more powerful and sexy side of AM8IC.

CHUNGYI: I’d like to try a more sensual concept. I think being sexy isn’t just about your appearance; it can also be expressed through your eyes, facial expressions, and little details on stage that can create a different kind of charm. I’m also curious to see if I can completely challenge myself with an image that’s completely different from what I show now. I hope I’ll have the chance to show everyone a more mature and charismatic side of AM8IC in the future!

CHEN: Personally, I’d really love to Trap! I’ve always been a big fan of hip-hop culture, and I really like hard-hitting beats and music with a strong attitude. If I get the chance in the future, I’d love to try a more intense rap style that shows more of my own personality.

SAHO: Personally, I really like horror movies and mysterious or suspenseful elements. Although some of our current works already have a similar atmosphere, I’d love to continue exploring this style and maybe add new elements to it in the future!

7. What is your favorite part about being a member of AM8IC?

MINGKAI: My favorite part is seeing AM8IC grow together and watching how our teamwork becomes more and more natural over time. From practicing and getting used to working with each other in the beginning to now understanding one another more naturally, I think it’s been a really precious journey.

Each of us has our own strengths, and throughout this process, we’ve continued learning from and supporting one another, becoming better together. For me, being able to grow alongside these members and create memories that belong to AM8IC is something that makes me really happy.

ROUX: I think my favorite part is being able to stand on stage with the members. Being able to perform together as AM8IC is something that makes me incredibly happy. I especially love the moment when the music starts, we look at each other, and all five of us give our best on stage. I hope we can continue creating many more unforgettable memories together on stage!

CHUNGYI: My favorite part is that five people with different personalities can stand on stage together and work toward the same goal. And because QU8IC is here with us, we can continue becoming better, which makes the journey feel even more meaningful to me.

CHEN: My favorite part is growing together with the members! Although sometimes, instead of feeling like we’re growing, it feels like we’re just unlocking new levels of craziness together.

SAHO: My favorite moment is the excitement I feel when I first hear the demo of a new song! Because of our storyline and universe, many of our songs have their own stories behind them, and some even continue the story from our previous releases. So whenever I hear a new song and leaning about the story behind it, I get really excited. It’s almost like following a manga for a long time and suddenly finding out that a new chapter has been released!

I hope that when everyone listens to our songs or discovers the lyrics and stories behind them, they’ll also become immersed in AM8IC’s universe and enjoy exploring the world we’ve created!

AM8IC is currently promoting “RASCALS (Find The Pearl)” on various music shows and had their first stage today on the newest music show, SHOW K-POP! They also also meeting their fans, QU8IC, through various fansign events.
