The split, which occurred suddenly in March 2026, came as a shock to many fans, sparking massive online debate regarding the nature of his departure and subsequent re-debut as a soloist under their label, BELIFT LAB. In light of the announcement, many ENHYPEN fans—known as ENGENE—were divided on their continued support of the group. Online movements and even in-person protests outside of the company's headquarters took place, demanding the reinstatement of the group as a seven-member band.

Until now, the opinions of the remaining members have been largely kept out of the public eye.

On July 9th, Jungwon chose to address the situation directly with their fandom. "Many people felt that we never properly acknowledged it,” he said in the Weverse platform livestream. “…ENHYPEN is six members now...No one wants to fight over this, not the company, not the fans, and not us the members." He went on to acknowledge that with his statement, he intended to act as a spokesperson for the group. "I came here to speak on behalf of the members...the other five members share the same thoughts."

Jungwon's comments served to put many fans’ minds at ease about the recent split. It seems that ENHYPEN are moving forward and looking to the future. Their BLOOD SAGA world tour kicked off in Seoul on May 1st, and they are set to perform in various major cities across Europe, Latin America, and the United States. Former member EVAN has also re-debuted as a solo artist under his new stage name, releasing his latest single RIDE OR DIE—including tracks "Ride or Die" and "Overflow"—on June 22nd.
