KPop Demon Hunters follows the band, who moonlight as demon hunters and fight rival boy band The Saja Boys, who are secretly demons. The movie became a huge hit following its release last year, going on to become the most-streamed film in Netflix’s history, while a sequel is also in the works.

EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami recently performed ‘Golden’ at the BAFTAs and Oscars, while the film won Best Animated Film and Best Original Song at the latter ceremony.

In other news, it was confirmed earlier this year that KATSEYE KATSEYE KATSEYE K-POP GROUP KATSEYE is a global girl group formed through HYBE x Geffen's "The Debut: Dream Academy" project. The group debuted in 2024 and is known for a modern pop sound, sharp performance style, and multilingual global-member lin member Manon was taking a “temporary hiatus” from the group, with her future unclear after being removed from the band’s Instagram bio and being absent from a teaser for song ‘Pinky Up’. She also didn’t perform with the band at Coachella.

Addressing her hiatus earlier this month, Manon thanked fans “for all the love and support you’ve been sending my way”.

“I’m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time,” she added on Weverse. “HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy. I’ll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Among those who have showed support for Manon is Little Mix‘s Leigh-Anne Pinnock, the singer saying: “There is some kind of vicious cycle going on right now with Black girls in girl groups. We see it all the time, so I’m glad people are speaking about it and highlighting it.”
