KATSEYE
‘s Manon has told fans she’s “having positive conversations” with her label following them announcing her hiatus from the group.
The Grammy-nominated Los Angeles girl group – assembled by Hybe and Geffen Records – announced Manon’s “temporary hiatus” back in February, adding that the group will “continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right.”
Hours later, Manon appeared to address fans directly through Weverse DMs, writing: “I’m healthy, I’m okay, and I’m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control, but I’m trusting the bigger picture,” per Billboard.
Since then, her future in KATSEYE
has been unclear, with her removing the group from her Instagram bio and being notably absent from a new teaser for their upcoming song ‘Pinky Up’ shared yesterday (April 2).
Shortly after the clip was shared, Manon took to Weverse to thank fans “for all the love and support you’ve been sending my way.”
“I’m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time,” she wrote, per Forbes. “HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy. I’ll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me.”
It comes as the group prepare for their Coachella debut later this month. None of the other five members has commented on Manon’s hiatus.

After her temporary leave from the group was announced, Little Mix’s Leigh Anne publicly voiced her support for Manon, saying in an interview: “There is some kind of vicious cycle going on right now with Black girls in girl groups. We see it all the time, so I’m glad people are speaking about it and highlighting it.”
KATSEYE
released their ‘Beautiful Chaos’ EP last year. The track ‘Gnarly’ was named as the fifth best song of the year by NME.
Speaking to NME last year, Manon reflected on the track, telling us: “I didn’t expect such a crazy song.” She added: “I was just super excited because I was like, ‘Oh my god, finally we can cuss!’”
