The two of them came together once again to deliver a high-energy rendition of their hit 2024 track ‘APT.’. It served as the lead single from the K-Pop star’s debut solo album ‘Rosie’, and became an instant hit – reaching the Number One spot in the charts across 50 countries.
As well as bringing the energy to the stage with their slot – with ROSÉ performing to the crowd and Mars taking on guitar duties – the slot also saw the singer and BLACKPINK
member mark a new milestone: becoming the first solo K-Pop star to ever perform at the annual event.
As well as setting a new record with her performance, ROSÉ also continued to mark new territory when it came to nominations.
‘APT.’ was up for both Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year at the 2026 instalment of the awards ceremony. This meant she became the first K-Pop artist to receive a nomination as a main performer in one of the top four categories for the Grammys (as reported by Consequence).

She was also up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Mars thanks to the huge single, but ultimately did not win in any of the three categories.
For Record Of The Year, she was beat to the post by Kendrick Lamar and SZA for their song ‘Luther’ – and Lamar was later revealed to be the biggest winner of the night.
For Song Of The Year, the trophy went to Billie Eilish for ‘Wildflower’ – and she used her acceptance speech to call out ICE – and finally, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande won in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for ‘Defying Gravity’.
Other performers turning heads on the night included Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Tyler, The Creator, and Lola Young.
Other big winners on the night included Bad Bunny, who also called out ICE, and Olivia Dean who used her Best New Artist win to celebrate immigrants.

As for BLACKPINK
, the group announced a brand-new mini album called ‘Deadline’ last month, which will mark their third EP, following 2018’s ‘Square Up’ and 2019’s ‘Kill This Love’. Their second and most recent full-length album, ‘Born Pink’, arrived in 2022.
