Well, the October releases have really blended post-breakup trauma, a little time travel, soul-swapping, and the hope of finding love, but what left fans waiting got Netflix'd! Quite a lot of series have made this month on Netflix, and a lot more are coming, but the two that really caught attention were 100 Days of Deception and Doctor X. These two both put up a great deal of entertainment and subsequently try to unveil the real traumas of Korea and its painful past that still lurks today in the country.

Taking about 100 days of Deception, a compelling storyline, and still ongoing, the series opens with the revolution of Korea from the Japanese invasion back in the 1900s. The country suffered a great deal of trauma and pain while the revolutionaries were trying hard to change the history of Korea. The series oozes out that same pain and emotion, but also a thrilling adventure and a wrecking secret that gave many a reason to rely on for a free nation.

Among them, a village girl who forces herself to pickpocket and survive in harsh conditions meets an elite man who tries to find everything about her but has to strike a deal. In exchange for 100 days, he must take out all the secrets about the Japanese colonials and their plan to eradicate Korean history from the world. Lee Ga, who comes from the same place as the other Koreans, lives in poverty and food scarcity; a romantic tune shifts the atmosphere, adding a slight romantic note to the pain of innocent lives.

The series directly and indirectly strikes the right chords of Korean history, where spies and revolutionaries posed a threat to Japanese invaders and broke the colonial shackles. It quietly replicates the circumstances of people living under harsh conditions.

Moving on to the other drama that has caught fans’ attention is Doctor X. A doctor who seems like a phantom sought by medical professionals to fill a surgical vacancy. Gye Su Jeong is an exceptional doctor whose surgical skills hint at a medical mystery. Nothing about her is known, yet she is a name that hospital staff have been hearing. Something unexpected happens every day at Guseo University Hospital, where duty starts to grow dirtier, and people fail to become sane.

Recently, the series has been in talks of being revoked. Its few episodes have a curiosity over a real life inscidents like depiction of 1980 Gwangju Tragedy that has led to a petition filled in court. Also, political interference used in the drama has heightened the storyline and also the ratings of the series.

Since these two are trending on Netflix, fans are eagerly waiting for another chapter of both series, hoping for another twist that will blow our minds.

Stay tuned to know more!
