On June 26th, globally renowned K-pop octet ATEEZ
released the fifth installment in their massively successful GOLDEN HOUR series. Just one week later, the mini album, consisting of five brand-new tracks including their lead single “BAD”, is poised to take over the Billboard 200 chart, with the latest predictions placing the album at number one with nearly 205,000 units sold in the U.S. in the first week. These remarkable numbers place ATEEZ
among one of the largest first-week debuts for a K-pop album in the U.S. and dethrone Golden Hour: Part. 4, which previously held the group’s highest sales record. The album is set to become the group’s third number one entry on the Billboard 200, and they will make history as only the third male K-pop group to have multiple number one albums on the chart, alongside Stray Kids
and BTS
, demonstrating their global demand.
In addition to the Billboard 200, title track “BAD” is set to become ATEEZ
’s third entry on the highly coveted Billboard Hot 100. The latest predictions place the song in the top 60, marking the group’s highest entry to date. ATEEZ
soared onto the Hot 100 for the first time in 2025, with two back-to-back entries in under a month, following the release of “Lemon Drop” (69) and “In Your Fantasy” (68). Once again, they join BTS
and Stray Kids
as the only male K-pop groups to ever appear on the chart.
“BAD” has racked up an impressive 21 million views on YouTube in the week since its release, and continues to climb to new heights daily on domestic Korean charts after the song’s choreography went viral on social media. The video jumped an almost unbelievable 100 spots on South Korea’s daily YouTube charts this weekend, as well as maintaining its number one position on the Melon music search. One thing is for sure–the song is far from its ‘bad’ title, and demonstrates the massive demand ATEEZ
continues to command across the globe. Often referred to as a “small company miracle”, ATEEZ
are a group that continue to defy the odds and set new records for the K-pop industry.
