LISA, the stage name of singer and rapper Lalisa Manobal, took the Coachella main stage in the early hours of Saturday, April 18, as a surprise guest during the set of DJ and producer Matteo Milleri, known as Anyma. The performance took place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, and marked the first live execution of "Bad Angel," the collaboration between the two artists released on April 8 through Interscope Records.
The appearance was part of ÆDEN, the world premiere of Anyma's new audiovisual project. Co-creator of the duo Tale of Us and founder of the Afterlife label, the producer delivered a set of around 90 minutes that combined melodic techno, computer graphics, and large-scale stage design. Along with LISA, the show featured Matt Bellamy, lead singer of Muse, singer Joji, and rapper Swae Lee.
LISA walked onto the stage in a translucent white dress while the screen behind her displayed images of the singer portraying the angel figure featured in the track. During the performance of "Bad Angel," viewers watching the official YouTube livestream saw a hyper-realistic, large-scale projection of the singer above the stage. The effect was produced through an augmented-reality overlay applied only to the livestream, and attendees at the festival reported that the image was not visible in person.
The reaction on social media was immediate. The performance topped global trending lists shortly after it aired, gathering more than 1 million mentions on X (formerly Twitter) in the following hours. The official music video for "Bad Angel," released alongside the single, has reached 10 million views on YouTube and 10.4 million streams on Spotify.
The Saturday set also filled the gap left during the festival's first weekend. Anyma's original performance, scheduled for April 10, was cancelled due to strong winds that prevented the safe assembly of the main stage structure.
The appearance confirms Coachella as a recurring showcase in LISA's solo career. It was her fourth time at the festival, following the BLACKPINK
shows in 2019 and 2023 and her solo debut in 2025 with material from the album Alter Ego. By returning in consecutive years, the artist becomes the first k-pop act to appear on the festival's lineup in back-to-back editions, a milestone that expands the genre's reach at one of the world's leading music festivals.
