PENTAGON Announces Special Project in Celebration of the Group's 10-Year Anniversary

On July 20, on their various social media accounts including X and Instagram, boy group PENTAGON announced a special anniversary project to mark their 10-year anniversary as a group.

The special anniversary project will consist of a new song and a new tour. The special anniversary project will be managed by Naked, member Kino’s company, and this will be the group’s first release in over three years. 

Their last release was “With Universe”, a digital single released on October 10, 2023 to celebrate the group’s seven year anniversary. 

7 members will be participating in this comeback: Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Kino, and Wooseok.

Yuto and Yanan will not be participating in this release. In a livestream on PENTAGON’s Instagram on July 21, Kino spoke about how he and the members reached out to Yuto, Yanan, and their agencies regarding the plans they had for this project and received a response that led to the conclusion of them not participating and the project would be moving forward with 7 members. 

Kino did preface that the conversations they had with Yuto and Yanan were met with no hard feelings. “We will treasure those memories we had together for 7 years,” Kino said during the livestream. “They said they think the time has come for them to go their own ways. So let’s support each other’s paths in our separate ways.”

Kino also mentioned PENTAGON and Yuto and Yanan will be supporting each other and asked for their fans to do the same.

No other information regarding the anniversary project has been released yet, but more to come soon.

PENTAGON debuted under Cube Entertainment on October 10, 2016 with their first mini album PENTAGON and title track “Shine.” PENTAGON was also created through the Mnet survival show called Pentagon Maker.

On October 9, 2023 following the expiration of their exclusive contracts, Yeo One, Yanan, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok left Cube Entertainment. Two months later, on November 6, 2023, Hongseok left Cube after a mutual agreement. Jinho left Cube on April 14, 2025 after his contract expired and Hui left Cube on July 16, 2025 after his contract expired. 

Since leaving Cube, all of the members have signed with other agencies.

Shinwon is currently the only member who is still under Cube, as he signed an exclusive contract with the company to focus on his acting activities. 

The group reunited as seven for the first time in over three years at the Hanteo Music Awards on February 15, 2026 where they won the “10th Anniversary Influential Artist Award.” They also performed songs “With Universe” and “Shine,” that both hold great significance for both the group and their fans, Universe, as it was their most recent release and their debut song.
