The manifestations of Desi K-pop fans have finally worked. HYBE has announced its first international edition of the Weverse Con Festival, which will be held in India. The two-day event will take place on March 27 and 28, 2027, in the capital city, New Delhi.
As this is the first edition outside of South Korea, fans are excited to know what the event will offer and whether more international editions are on the way.“Weverse Con Festival India marks a new chapter in our ‘multi-home, multi-genre’ strategy and reflects our commitment to India as a key market in HYBE’s global growth,” commented Jason Jaesang Lee, CEO of HYBE.
While the lineup hasn’t been announced, HYBE has hinted that it will feature ‘a diverse lineup of global, K-pop, and Indian artists.’ As the previous editions had artists outside of HYBE, the international debut is also expected to have artists from across the K-pop industry along with the local artists. Earlier this year, the music festival, held in South Korea, featured top groups such as CORTIS, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, BOYNEXTDOOR and ENHYPEN.
The festival will also include fan-centered experiences and the chance to meet and engage with artists and fellow attendees. Tickets will be sold exclusively through BookMyShow and will go live on 30 October at 12 pm (IST). Additionally, Mastercard holders will have exclusive access to pre-sale tickets.
The announcement marks the growing presence of the powerhouse behind K-pop groups such as BTS and Seventeen in the subcontinent. Earlier this year, HYBE India held a nationwide audition for its first girl group from the country.
The festival is also a testament to India’s rising live event scene, which hosted Linkin Park, John Mayer and Playboi Carti in 2026 alone. HYBE’s global group KATSEYE and artist Rhea Raj are also scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza, to be held in Mumbai in January 2027.
For South Asian fans, this is a dream-come-true moment because, despite the large number of fans, major tours of K-pop groups do not include stops in the region. The festival will be a first step for Indian K-pop fans, as they hope it paves the way for more K-pop events and tours in the country.
