Throughout this project, Rapsody and I deeply connected with each other’sjourneys, exploring and traveling through our own universes. The whole process felt like we were flying through space together—itwas pure fun! I hope you can feel our journey through the words and rhythm.”Rapsody added: “I was blown away by her lyrical skill and performance! Especially since English isn’t her first language—shekilled it! The verses were flawless and deserve respect! Jurin proved herself to be a true MC on this track, and it was a joy toshare the mic with her! Fans can expect real rap, wordplay, and sharp rhymes. No fluff, just pure Jedi force.”In other news, XG have revealed the title and release date for their highly anticipated debut album – it is due for release inJanuary 2026, and is titled ‘The Core’. So far, the album has been previewed by one single, ‘GALA’, which arrived in SeptemberSpeaking to NME for The Cover in January, XG reflected on the long road to discovering their own identity in the competitive idolmusic scene, while aiming to bring their cultural roots to the rest of the world. “We have a lot of pride in our Japanese heritageand culture,” said group leader Jurin, “so we’re trying to figure out how to integrate that and incorporate it into the larger XGbrand.”The girl group also touched on their Coachella debut in April, where they carried the torch for their home country as the onlyJapanese act on the line-up this year. “We were like deer in headlights,” Jurin said of the moment they found out about thebooking. “But then we saw Coachella’s official lineup image with ‘XG’ on it, and that’s when it really hit us. We couldn’t stopsharing it with each other, saying, ‘Oh my God, look, guys, we’re on the list.’”XG first debuted in 2022 with the single ‘Tippy Toes’. The group’s first mini-album ‘New DNA’ in September 2023, followed by theirsophomore mini-album ‘AWE’ in November 2024.
