ATEEZ Takes Home 8th Daesang at 2026 K-World Dream Awards

The eight-member group was the most decorated act of the night, receiving four awards including K-World Dream Artist, Best Stage, Male Group Popularity, and perhaps most notably, Best Male Artist. This award was the grand prize (daesang) of the night and marked the eighth daesang win of ATEEZ's career so far.

Known throughout the K-pop industry as "small company miracles", ATEEZ received their first daesang on November 17th, 2024, at the Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA). Following an explosive year of success including a sold-out world tour and a number one album on the Billboard 200 chart, they went on to collect major recognition at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards, the 35th Seoul Music Awards, and the Hanteo Music Awards, among others. Their KWDA win comes in the midst of massive virality in South Korea after their latest title track "BAD" dominated domestic charts with its catchy lyrics and addictive choreography. The dance challenge can be seen everywhere from sports teams to weather channels and is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.

ATEEZ put on an intense live performance of "Adrenaline" and "BAD" for the awards show, flaunting the powerful live vocals and no-breaks dance skills that are a trademark for the group. Alterwards, the members took to their social channels to thank their dedicated fanbase, known as ATINY, for the Male Group Popularity Award, which is a fan-voted honor presented to the winning group. The receipt of their eighth gassang comes coincidentally in ATEEZ's eighth year as a band, and some might call the recognition long overdue.

Originating from a small company with minimal industry power, ATEEZ clawed their way from humble beginnings to major star power as one of the most commercially successful K-pop groups on the scene. Over the past two years, they have expanded their global reach exponentially. They have performed in sold-out stadiums, headlined international festivals with audiences in the hundreds of thousands, and breached the coveted U.S. Billboard Charts, including two consecutive Hot 100 entries with "Lemon Drop" and "In Your Fantasy” in 2025, and three number one albums on the Billboard 200 as of August 2026.

For ATEEZ, one thing is certain: they can no longer be overlooked in the conversation of K-pop power.
