BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s Agency Apologizes For Shirt With Racial Slur

BIGBANG BIGBANG K-POP GROUP BIGBANG is a South Korean boy group that debuted in 2006. Known for major influence on modern K-pop, the group is widely associated with hits across multiple eras and a strong global fanbase. The group is commonly treate ’s G-Dragon’s agency has issued a formal apology for the controversial shirt he wore at a recent event.

On May 2, G-Dragon performed at K-SPARK in Macau while wearing a shirt emblazoned with a Dutch racial slur on the back.

After the singer came under fire for the offensive language imprinted on the shirt, G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation released an official statement of apology on May 3.

The agency’s full English statement is as follows:

Hello. This is Galaxy Corporation.

We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate wording featured on the performance outfit worn by the artist at K-SPARK in Macau on May 2.

This incident has once again reminded us of the importance of cultural sensitivity and responsible review. We will thoroughly reassess and strengthen our internal review and verification processes, including styling and related internal processes, and move forward with a higher standard of global respect and responsibility.
