VIA WEVERSE

The werewolves are making their comeback nearly one year after their Korean debut. Early last November, the title track of &TEAM’s first Korean mini-album BACK TO LIFE achieved a three-show sweep. Now, the global group is releasing their second Korean mini-album titled Mark on Me, which is set to release on Sept. 8 at 18:00 (KST).

With the drop only being a few days away, here’s everything you need to know about this comeback.*

Concept

&TEAM are known for their werewolf concept, and they continue to deliver with this album.

Based on the prologue video and trailer on the HYBE LABELS and &TEAM YouTube channels, Mark on Me paints a picture of “the wolf who loved Red”, an allusion to the story of Red Riding Hood. A wolf (werewolf) that was shunned and always alone feels the warmth of a human for the first time. This human takes the time to understand them and is willing to walk with them when no one else would. Over time, this presence tames the wolf’s heart. For the first time, the wound they had that everyone, including themself, saw as an ugly scar is seen as just a mark.

Tracklist

The tracklist includes six songs:

  1. ‘Mark on Me’ (title)

  2. ‘Good Boy’

  3. ‘러브장’ (romanized as "Love Jang" on streaming platforms)

  4. ‘Accelerate’

  5. ‘Empty’

  6. ‘Night to howl!’

Notably, Benson Boone is credited on the title track ‘Mark on Me’, and all five members of CORTIS are credited as writers on ‘Good Boy’, with Martin of CORTIS also being credited for additional production. Considering how different CORTIS and &TEAM’s music styles are, ‘Good Boy’ is a track to anticipate hearing.

Fans can, however, get a sneak peak. Posted to HYBE LABELS’ and &TEAM’s YouTubes on Sep. 2, a highlight melody revealed that Mark on Me’s songs range from ‘90s R&B and hip-hop sounds to pop-punk and alt-rock ballads. Fans (called LUNÉ) can listen to the provided snippets while they wait for the full release.

Album Versions

For this album, there are two standard versions: CRAVE YOU ver. and TAME ME ver. Each contains a photo book, prologue sheet, logo sticker set, paper tag, accordion postcard, CD and sleeve, poster, lyric paper, photocard A (1 of 9), photocard B (1 of 9), and the outbox that everything comes in. Retailer exclusives (which include one additional random photocard) can be purchased from Kpop Nara, hello82, Barnes & Noble, and Target.

Another available version is the SOLO ver., which has 9 kinds, one for every member. Each one includes the same lyric paper, CD and sleeve, lenticular tag (1 of 9), and photocard B (1 of 9). Photocard A (1 of 3), a set of five postcards, and the outbox are each unique to whichever members’ version the album is. (Note: currently, the SOLO ver. of the album must be purchased randomly at most vendors).

Additionally, for LUNÉ that prioritize photocards, there is a mini CD-R version. It comes with a mini CD-R and mini CD-R paper, a photocard (1 of 9), a unit photocard (2 of 36), a set of 9 instant photocards, and the clear envelope that everything comes in. While pre-orders for this version are currently sold out at Weverse and hello82, it can still be purchased elsewhere. (Note: this is excluding Kpop Nara, who currently does not have it listed online).

Promotions and Activities

Having just finished up the last show of their original ‘BLAZE THE WAY’ concert tour on Aug. 22 in Singapore, &TEAM will be starting the tour’s encore shows over this weekend at Belluna Dome in Saitama, Japan, just a couple days before the new album is released.

At 20:00 KST on the 8th, &TEAM will be holding a comeback showcase at SBS Sangam Prism Tower. For international LUNÉ, the comeback showcase can be livestreamed for free through Weverse Live, &TEAM’s official Tiktok, and on YouTube from HYBE LABELS and SBS KPOP. As per the Weverse announcement from Aug. 31, the Weverse LIVE will have real-time subtitles available in English, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Thai.

After promotions, the group will be back in Seoul at KSPO Dome for another ‘BLAZE THE WAY’ encore over the weekend of Oct. 3. With any luck, fans in attendance will get to hear the new music performed in concert.

Details are yet to be released regarding which music shows &TEAM will be performing at.

* Additional details and any updates regarding Mark on Me after time and date of publication are available on &TEAM’s Weverse and social media.
